About
Kangas Kahn Publishing was started as an offshoot of Kangas Kahn Films, and began in 2015 by publishing its first book, Halloween: The Greatest Holiday of All by writer/director Kevin Kangas. A coffee-table sized book featuring full-color photographs and interesting facts about the holiday.
In 2021, KKP released the vampire novella With Teeth based on an unproduced screenplay by Kangas. Both of those books had covers created by graphic-design master Erik Ashley, who would be more than happy to discuss any projects you have that are in need of eye-catching design.
In 2023 we released a Halloween anthology featuring authors Gemma Amor, Jeremy Bates, Kealan Patrick Burke, Clay McLeod Chapman, Philip Fracassi, Brian Keene & Richard Chizmar, Todd Keisling, Gwendolyn Kiste, Red Lagoe, Ronald Malfi, Bridgett Nelson, Rebecca Rowland, Steve Rasnic Tem, TJ Cimfel,Cassandra Daucus, Ryan Van Ells, Patrick Flanagan, Brennan Fredricks, Larry Hinkle, Larry Hodges, Kevin Kangas, Evans Light, Gregory L. Norris, Frank Oreto, Robert Stahl, Cat Voleur, and Jacqueline West.
Our next anthology will be called "Fear of Clowns: A Horror Anthology" and will feature another stacked table of contents.

FAQ
Are you accepting manuscript submissions?
Check out our Submissions button--we also tend to publish them on places like Horror Tree and others.
How hard is that deadline? If I'm a couple of days late, am I out of luck?
The deadline isn't firm, so if you're a few days late, go ahead and shoot it to us.
Any helpful hints on how to not get thrown in the "No" folder?
- When you think your story is ready for submission, read it out loud two times. This will help you catch awkward sentence and dialogue. Also, make SURE there are no spelling errors in your manuscript. Nothing screams amateur like spelling mistakes. Word even HIGHLIGHTS them for you...and it highlights them for me also so it's easy to see when someone hasn't gone the full distance for their story...
- Read the submission instructions carefully. If we ask for a Halloween story and you send us a story about some other holiday, that is an easy pass for us.
